About her
Here goes, a bit of a first writing about me but hopefully this will capture your imagination and you will want to find out more...
Lively, with a wicked sense of humour, my friends would also say that I am loyal and hard working. I'm fairly outgoing and quite happy in any social situation. I'm happiest out walking, especially if there is a cup of coffee waiting at the end (and obviously a piece of cake to be shared!), and I love exploring new places. I have been lucky to have had some fabulous times in Hong Kong, but am just as at home in the Lake District, or around the local fields and hills in Surrey.
I try to keep fit with Zumba (which vaguely reminds me of days gone by clubbing, but is much harder work) and the occasional swim. I have not yet braved group cycling - everyone always looks exhausted when they leave those classes and very sweaty.
I'm a keen gardener which I hope doesn't sound too boring, as quite often when I say I'm gardening I'm actually soaking up the sun with a good book. I also love the theatre and cinema but don't get the chance to go that often as I've got myself involved in some interesting local community work which I fit around my part time job at the local library. So, I definitely need someone to drag me out and help re-balance my free time.
I have to mention the cats who I adore and who also like playing in the garden when I'm supposedly gardening.
My gorgeous teenage son is now away at University learning how to survive life, so it is the right time for me to hopefully make some new friends and who knows, maybe find that special someone to share the future with.

I guess I'm looking for someone in a similar position to me - someone to share the next phase of my life with now that the kids are grown up. It would be great to share some interests, but it's also good to have differences - life would be boring if we were all the same. A love of walking and a coffee drinker are probably very important - Costa or Cafe Nero! I've become fairly independent over the last few years and am involved in quite a few activities around the village which keeps me busy and I get to meet loads of new people. But I know now it would be great to have someone special in my life, and hopefully they are not far away...
